Unique Opportunity - Noumea Visit

After the 2009 Communication in Christchurch, the Provincial Grand Master of New Caledonia, VWBro Dr Bernard Paul, invited our Grand Master, MWBro Stan Barker, to visit New Caledonia during his term of office. Accepting this invitation, our GM has elected to visit Noumea in a private capacity for the Annual Meeting of the GLNF - Province of New Caledonia, on Thursday 22 October 2009.
An invitation is extended to the brethren of the Grand Lodge of NZ and their partners to attend. Activities are being organised in Noumea, and the form these will take will depend on the numbers involved.
To date the contingent includes the Grand Master, the Deputy Grand Master RWBro Neil Ingram, VWBro Terry Carrell and WBro Tony Templeton. Current plann is to fly to Nomea on Tuesday October 20th returning Sunday October 25th. Naturally, brethren and partners are welcome to stay longer for personal tours or enjoyment.
Everybody, including the GM, will pay their own way. Present indications of costs per person - airfare: approx $1,000 (it varies from $500 - $1600) ex Auckland, accommodation: $150 - 200/day (bed and breakfast), other meals and expenses: $100 - 150/day.
Exclusive packages ex-Auckland with accommodation at the Ramada Inn in Noumea are available on request. Contact WBro Tony Templeton (Ph 03 366 6664) for reference details. (If no reply, leave a message and he will call back.)
A stay of five nights, including daily expenses, is expected to cost around $2,400.00/person. The French brethren in Noumea can assist with good accommodation rates but they need to know numbers in advance.
WBro Tony Templeton is also a member of Loge Laperouse No.498, GLNF, in Noumea and assures all interested that they can look forward to an extremely satisfying trip. The French, by and large, work the Scottish Rite. Not too much different than our workings - a variation on the theme, but well worth witnessing. Trips will be arranged, either by the French brethren or subsidised by them (but still within the 'other' costs, above).
