The guy that builds stonewalls advertises himself in the Yellow Pages as a "Stonemason". Is this the correct trade name for the man who builds such things or is such a tradesman really just a modern day Cowan who has been mistakenly branded as a Stonemason?

One would think, looking at such a splendid edifice as York Minister, that to be a proper stonemason would require alot more skill and training then might be required by those who are solely confined to the business of constructing garden walls.

Yep - absolutely correct John.

I'm not sure of the actual trade qualifications though these days. It would be worth enquiring about before hiring them... :-)
