Dear Moderators/Lodge Members,

My Grandfather, Gordon Huia Samuel Clarkson was a proud Lodge member in Christchurch probably during the 1940's and 1950's. He died in 1960 and passed his Bible (with the Masonic crest/device) to my father, who always used it, and died himself a couple of months ago. I also have a wooden gavel which I believe was used in the Lodge. Could someone tell me if my grandfather appears in any records? My great grandfather Samuel Clarkson, a builder and well-known businessman may also have been a member. Best Wishes from 'Comma' Perth, Australia

Your best option is to call the Grand Lodge in NZ, they hold all the records for past members.
