Hi Jeremie perhaps if you change the website much would you please inform me about it, because I run a New Zealand based search engine and I would like to keep the search engines index fresh to stop any bad links being found.
Our webspiders are working 24/7 to keep the index accurate and it consumes a heap of bandwidth to keep it that way. We presently have a searchable index of more than fifty million Kiwi webpages and another twenty million webpages that were indexed from websites worldwide so you can see the problems we face with keeping the index fresh.
A little help and assistance from webmasters can keep things working really well.
Running a working search engine is one heck of a task, upto 120,000 searches pass through it everyday because we also feeds two meta search engines in America and Europe with our search results, they pass queries they get on their search engines, through our servers to enable them to show thousands of results when they don't have a very large index themselves.
It is the way that things work today.
Heaps of regards
