I have tried repeatedly from various computers to turn on the "Remember my logon" option on the logon page. but under both ie6 and ie7 i have not had this work.

Is there a problem with the cookies generation and checking done by the forums? it doesnt work on the members only section either for me.
I know the BBphp forums software normally supports it and works fine as i have used it elsewhere.

I hope someone can shed some light on this, i realise its trivial, but rather annoying.

regards

its feedback, re a problem. Not a link to discuss the in's and outs of the various browsers.

my intent is to show the site administrator that the cookies function is not working correctly under ie, where firefox and chome store logins directly from a screenscraping mechanism in their own database. this means that the problem would only show up to the people using IE, which as i understand it is still a majority.

note, i use all three, and test webites using all three.
