Bay of Plenty Freemasons meet Jack
Bay of Plenty Freemasons meet Jack.
Jack the horse has found a new home with Riding for the Disabled in Awatapu. The 9 year old horse was specially selected as having the particular qualities essential for this type of situation.
Thanks to the generosity of Lodge Whakatane No.198 members and with the support of The Freemasons Charity Jack has come to the aid of disabled riders in Whakatane.
This was not the first time that Freemasons in the Bay of Plenty had supported the organisation. This project was a natural extension of ongoing support of Camp Quality in the region and the work of The Potter Trust supporting children in the Greater Auckland area over many decades.
The Riding for the Disabled Centre caters for around 35 disabled riders and provides a great way for people with disabilities to get outdoors.
Enjoy your new home Jack.
